⛾ Entr'acte

This week contains the rolling thunder of what will be the storm of the next couple weeks. Profs have lowered the amount of homework for most classes, mercifully, in the anticipation of various projects that are finally starting to come due. (Piel/Pual is quite exciting, linguistically, despite the lack of change in the workload in my Hebrew class). A small project here, a reflection there, then Crack! Final paper, research paper, reflective paper, final exam, take-home exam, take-home exam, take-home final... for four courses. Honestly as much as I will be self-pitying for the next couple of weeks, I pity the professors who will need to mark the aftermath of such an explosion, too. It might not be so bad... but I will certainly have nerves involved, with one professor I would like to impress, and another where I have unfortunately, accidentally chosen a topic for my final essay that aligns with their own thesis. I wish that I could have a week longer to work in every class, so that I could at least have a couple days for digestion before having to bring everything together. But such is life. I've marked my calendar with where I am, where I can rest, and the finish line. I confess that this week I will have to begin implementing a steady IV drip of performance-enhancing drugs (iced coffee), and planning my meals for the next couple of weeks so that I don't accidentally spend too much on band-aid solutions to food. Sometimes I wonder if I would save money just by hiring a personal servant for a couple of weeks. Oh, to be an affluent bachelor with a landlady that fusses over my eating properly. If all else fails, I might not need to wait too much longer on technology to allow me to acquire an attractive android, at least.

I wish you all the best with your own walk this week. You can do it.
