✿ More Developments

There is a delayed start on campus and "classes scheduled after 10am will continue as planned" is a great Schrodinger zone when your class starts at 9:45. No changes from yesterday, otherwise.
However, here are a couple things I managed to write last night:

"On Sunday I was approached by someone who had been speaking with my minister about some ideas they had about trying to start a gardening operation to combat food insecurity, etc. that has already been piloted in other provinces and is making its way over here. Rest assured that my mind is blown to have encountered yet another person who is looking in this direction, and in such short succession, and with such aligned goals! He said that there are a number of grants available, but he is having trouble finding people who are excited about the idea. I did not tell him that I had the exact opposite problem, but it was likely very apparent. More on this later, I'm sure, after exams week.

Today I managed to cut enough corners that I will be successful when I finally throw in the towel. I am still feeling very drained but I have one thing primarily on my chest and once it is complete I will feel a lot better.

I am making changes to the blog... trying to organize some things and kind of prune toward a particular theme/structure. I've already archived a few things and unposted some of the fluffier posts that happen day to day. I've also decided to use little symbols to denote the vibe of the post, partially for myself, partially for the reader. The key is as follows:

  • Coffee/Tea Cup = Personal Musing
  • Circle in Circle = Personal Discernment/Growth
  • Dove = Something to do with the Church or church (unfortunately what looks like line art on my computer turns into an emoji on one's phone and I don't like that. All symbols subject to upgrade).

It's not necessary to remember or even notice this, but I'm not just decorating. It is my hope that it will help me with navigation and future archiving. Relatedly, it is my hope that I will eventually re-settle on a cohesive narrative/mission for the blog that might not need so much pruning... But at the same time, that's just part of who I am. Eventually it will have a shape, but we don't know what that will be until the end, really."
